Blizzard Warning

The storm has been coming all day and now the WIND.

I was late for work this morning due to poor driving conditions. Stayed all day although it was slow and many bailed out early.

On the way home ( 9 miles) I was impressed with how well I was doing with 6 to 8" of new snow.
Then a mile from home I couldn't get up one of the many hills in our lovely city. A nice young man with a chevy truck stopped and offered assistance. He hooked a strap under my bumper and gently pulled me up the hill.

There are still good samaritans PTL

Cool Re: Blizzard Warning

All of the schools will be closed for the 2nd day.

I can hear the wind against the window. If anyone is dreaming of a white Christmas.....quit right now

Winter has arrived!

Re: Blizzard Warning

Winter has definitely arrived. The wind and blowing snow is terrible. It's a fight with the wind just to open the front door. I think I've shoveled snow away from the front door at least 3 times today.

Re: Blizzard Warning

It just started snowing here but schools are cancelled already based on weather predictions. Better safe than sorry.

I called in today due to snow.
And my husband is home due to the flu(?). He can't stand up he gets dizzy;and has an upset stomach.

Yesterday he cleared driveway with the snow thrower but it has all blown back in.

Re: Blizzard Warning

about 7" here, I'd say. Snow up to the top of the bottom step of the house-BEFORE it started drifting. And COLD! Even church is cancelled, and that's almost unheard of.
