Doctrinally confident or confused with these?

Here are the topics I am speaking of:

Spiritual New Birth
Eschatology
Heaven
Hell
Resurrection(s)
Soul Sleep

In example:

What about those that love our Saviour with all their heart, yet are outside of what modern day Pentecostals interpret as new birth?

"Last things"?

Will we be in heaven singing around the throne forever?

Is hell continuous torture or annialation?

Is there 2 resurrections still to come...and then there's physical vs. spiritual?

At death are we automatically with God or soul sleeping, or what?

There is a poster on this forum who believes that we will be eating fruit and leaves in heaven and having to sit on a porcelain throne forever.

Revelation 22:1-2 the fruits and the healing leaves are they for us to eat in heaven?

The healing leaves? Will we be also able to get sick, and therefore need these medicinal leaves?

7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Mocking Jesus again?

So, Sean, will you be going to the latrine in heaven?

Yes, or no?

Hey, do you "cap" on Jesus about the Tree of Life subject while you are preaching, also?

Or just online?

Good question. Another good question is, "Do those who reject the new birth really love the Saviour with all their heart?"

We will not be in heaven.

There are two hells: Hades/sheol, which is where all the dead go, the grave, the condition or state of being "dead", and Gehenna/the lake of fire which are symbols of the final judgment of God against the wicked, which destroys them. John 3:16 says those who believe in the Son shall not PERISH.

There is the resurrection unto life, and the resurrection unto damnation, both involve the entire person (including the body). In baptism/conversion we are said to be quickened or "raised" with Christ by metaphor, in that we are given a new life whereas before we were "dead in tresspasses and sins."

Quote:

At death we are dead, awaiting the resurrection. The dead know nothing, neither do they praise God, there is no consciousness in death, hence the Biblical term "sleep", implying a future time when one "awakes" from the condition of being dead (the resurrection). From the individual's point of view, they will have no cognizance of the passage of time, therefore from their point of view, death leads immediately to the resurrection, although thousands of years may pass for the living. So the answer is "both", in a sense.
