The Bible tells us to "train up a child in the way they should go..." I think Ruth has the right idea but I disagree with many of the ideas contained in the books. The rigidity of the dress standard issue causes so much division in churches, districts, families, and in individual homes that I cannot see this being of God.
The age of accountability for the young varies with age, and maturity level. The dress code should be one of modesty and appropriateness more than teaching children that God hates people who wear this or that. If Biblical principles of holiness: loving your friends, families, and enemies, and doing good to those who despitefully use you, following peace with all men, and not judging others by your own standards then books about inner standards of character would be more appropriate for our children.
