I do agree with Amos about the early pioneers from the PCI. I believe you would have to corner them to tell the difference, because they preached the Acts 2:38 message very strongly!
Actually, that's how I am today! I'm not happy at how my own church seems to downplay the importance of Holy Ghost Baptism.
Why would Papa Glass be involved in leadership with a group of men (PCI) he was very opposed to? Was the PAJC very strong in his area? If so, why didn't he join men of like belief?
Pastor G, please understand that I have no emotional dog in this fight. I'm just asking questions out of interest. Until I read Fudge's book, I had no idea what was going on right under my nose!

PM, I know you are one of the good guys as Sherri said... However, the title of this thread says, "Mystery Solved!" And on and on you went... Now you say you are just asking questions out of interest...
In Post 1 you say you have solved the Mystery and this last post you just meant to ask questions...
I can't stop you from wondering, but if you can't take it from a nephew (me) who knows and has his old notes from the 50's... and is close friends with RJ, who was the closest man alive to Papa George the last 10 years of his life and his pastor and BTW will tell you the same thing I am telling you, or from Ferd, whose family heard him preach it not long before his death... From his remaining 3 brothers, all of which he pastored at one time or another, two of those being preachers,,, preaching the exact same 3 steps that he did... then my friend, there is something wrong...
I don't know about the book you mentioned, however, just because something is in print form doesn't mean it is legitimate...
If you are asking the question... I am telling you the answer... George Glass Sr. believed in 3 steps for salvation...
There you go... Now the "Mystery" is solved...
