Cooper, nobody called Cooper a fool. Coonskinner said that a person is a fool if they ignore scripture because they don’t like what it says.
You feel like you’ve been called a fool. So the question that begs to be asked is, are you purposefully ignoring scripture (this one or some others that you understand) because you don’t like it? If not, then you are not a fool.
However, if you are doing this, then your own conscience condemns you.
