I am going to confess my faults to testify for God.
I do a daily chlorine test on our water for my job. There were some days that I had missed. I was expecting a small inspection, nothing major, but I knew I was going to be embarrassed on my oversight. ( I hate to make mistakes)
I was thinking and talking to the Lord about "filling in the blanks" I even asked the Lord if I could just do it this time, I would not miss another one..
Knowing full well it would be a lie, I KNOW what happens to a liar, and I am not one. ( but was thinking about it)
Anyway, I struggled with this most of the night, then I felt impressed to get out of bed, and go to my living room. I knew the Lord was gonna speak to me in his word. I stared at my bible for a while still talking to the Lord, putting off what I knew was coming.
I opened the word, looked down, my eyes fell to the 5th chapter of Acts. I only had to read the first scripture ......
Act 5:1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,
.....to know what the Lord was telling me. I felt a peace and had the strength to resist what I was thinking about doing....
I never want to be so hard that I can ignore the word of God, Or to justify my sin.
Sorry for getting off topic, but mentioning Ananias caused it!!
The news article below about a situation in Pakistan made me think this is what we could expect if Conservative Oneness Pentecostals ever governed the USA.

I would hope that our UC brethren would not impose a theocracy on the total population. However, I have recently visited a community in Waco, TX that reflects a Mennonite type environment and it is "ruled" by some "apostolics." Further, there is a remnant of a group that V. Bean was associated with in Terrell, TX that has a similar rule over their people. So there is good evidence that it could be a very repressive context.

The community is called Heritage Homestead, it is a wonderful place to visit, crafts and building trades, blacksmithing etc.

I heard a preacher say, "People call us a cult. They need to stick around and see how much we disagree with each other."
That pretty much sums up our movement.
People are just people and as one having come into a strict conservative church environment when I got in church - all I can say is that I see it morphing into something that is getting closer to what God had intended. Has it happened all over? No, but it will. It will be forced into it.
You know what's causing the changes and the hearts? Tragedy hitting homes like I've never seen before.
Forcing people's minds to stretch outside of their judgment and reach for truth and not baseless ideology. Reaching for what is real and not opinions that rest on sinking sand.

I only condone a UPC licensed minister to call others fools if he is being Christ-like as when Christ called the priests and scribes fools for their unceasing disregard for the beauty, simplicity and saving truths in His Word!
There was no personal attack, BTW. A wise observation was made. Any attacks or insults resulting from the observation would have to be self inflicted!
