This does beg the question, however; why don't the "dress codes" and other standards help keep the "ultra-cons" more holy than the rest of society?

And why isn't the Bible owning Christian sin free? Dressing the part will not make you the part.

Also, something that has bothered me for years, why don't the "ultra-cons" do anything to alleviate the suffering of innocent victims or to mitigate the impact that these things have on the lives of the people? Instead of reaching out and trying to help the innocent, they usually just throw the innocent away like rubbish along with the perps.

Not sure where you're going with this. If you're talking about giving to the poor, Jesus said, "The poor you have with you always". I think that we should help out those that are less fortunate that ourselves, but giving to the poor should not be our primary focus. Peter said, "Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have, give I thee."

**** And none of this has anything to do with the opening post and the good man who was named there. This is just to follow the "hijack" that the thread's creator had done to his own thread.

Now, if you're talking about giving to missions, I agree. If you have it, you'd better share it.
