Contradictory Pentecostal Messages
We have a man in our church that loves to yell. He is very very VERY loud and I have seen visitors literally scared to death once he starts. He's been asked to tone it down or to move to the front away from visitors...
How confusing it must be then to have an evangelist come through and preach a message on how God is pleased with loud noise.
We create the "loud" atmosphere and yet are disappointed when it's too loud
Same with all the running and jumping. The kids see all that and hear all that and then we wonder why it's so hard to keep the kids disciplined in church.
Should we really focus so much on quantity, volume or "cutting loose" physically? If that is how it has to be then why don't the same preachers scream and run non-stop during their personal prayers?
