Little Rock Dedication
Although I did not make it the First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock was dedicated last night. The Govenor of Arkansas and Mayor of Little Rock was there. Elder Vaughn Morton preached it. I saw the pictures the place was packed.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Little Rock Dedication
From what I understand, they have been in their new building for 4 years, but recently paid it off. It was a 24 million dollar building paid off in 4 years.

Are you serious? 24 million? Sheesh.

Let's clarify... not 24 MILLION of Debt.... 24 Million PAID FOR.. that's unfathomable to me... in only 4 years
I suppose they thought as long as they owed the bank the money that they had no right to give back to God in dedication what did not belong to them.... this is maybe why the waited until no one owned it to GIVE IT TO GOD

I just cannot figure out why people on this forum have a problem with how other people spend their money! It is usually the Charismatic Crowd that everyone slams for having money but now its an Apostolic Church!
I have said for years - The OP's can't get along with those who are not OP cause they sure can't get along with the ones that believe just like them!
What a shame and a reproach to the Name of Jesus Christ and all that Jesus and His Apostles preached.
God bless Brother Holmes and those that gave to build and beautify the House of the Lord!
