Various times in Psalms YHWH tells us he likes it LOUD! I have seen the same kind of loud driving music in Pentecostal Churches many times.

As far as repetitious praise does YHWH like that or not?

6: And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7: And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8: And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. Rev. 4:6-8

It seems as if he likes it! The four beasts before his throne do nothing else but praise him saying Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty which was and is and is to come!

Some might get tired of hearing that but not YHWH.
Ok.
Lets take a look at what this song used as content in the lyrical looping and then see if it declares God's character or is it more a mantra being repeated to provide a portal into a transcendental state.

Now those are some of the words I have not been able to bring to the tip of my tongue.

The bolded statement states what I was trying to say very well.

Not by any measure.
You missed my point. They say those words ALWAYS. They do nothing else but THAT. We are told they rest not day or night but only say these words to YHWH.

You think songs (any songs) being sung on Earth are even close at all to that level of repetition?

It seems YHWH has ordained that kind of repetition in his worship.

Is the repetition really any different than a black gospel choir singing the same line over and over and over and over again? They do it all the time - just to a different type rhythm.

For me and many others it brings us into a state of deep worship and passionate love for Jesus Christ.

I've had the same thought. I have wondered if some who are so far this level of repetition would be against some other styles of gospel which also delve into such things.

To me consistency would require that both be viewed similarly

Amen.
So they are both examples of a musical technique that is deployed to accomplish something other than the glorification of, and service to, their God.

Creating a feel good moment that uses a transcendental state is pleasurable and will grow a crowd without any requirement of spiritual mindedness being at the forefront.

I guess I like just about all kinds of music. But seeing Misty lead worship (especially in person) is very inspiring. People can criticize her all they want, but there are very few worship leaders that have the kind of passion that she does for Jesus.

Also, there is no glorification to God in alot of Pentecostal "shouting" -- it's an emotional release for the person doing it. That doesn't make it wrong. It's just the culture that most of us are/were used to.

It is very difficult to find what is right by staring at what is wrong (or being participated in for completely different purposes).

I have no need or calling to judge Misty.
We just discuss here (and other places) how a lot of stuff happens that is promoted as praise unto God but is really just searching for a nice distraction.

Here's a clip of Jesus Culture singing an old hymn with a bit of a twist. Beautiful none the less.

Oh praise Jesus Christ forever! It does not get better than this!

I heard Petra do this in the 80's and it was wonderful. If possible this is even better!
