Well, I think perhaps even Paul himself appealed to culture in Corinthians 11. If not concerning hair then certainly a "covering" or veil.

Modesty it's self is very often influenced by the culture I think. It is not considered modest for nursing moms to expose their breasts in the USA, but it's different in some parts of the world.

That's true, Hoovie. But they don't mind seeing all the women that walk around showing cleavage. And most nursing mothers cover themselves as much as possible.

I appreciate your response and can see you side of this, to a point. But I still think we are much safer when we lean more to the things that are written plainly, much less so to my interpretation of what the author meant.

I still can't find any bombshell in The Apostolic Life I have. I don't even see a chapter on hair.

Now that could be because mine is electronic - part of a study package.
