Sweet. Most of those are really good stuff, I think.

I like those cross preaching tweets!

Re: DKB: 85% believed Acts 2:38 as New Birth at Me

From what I remember of the Fudge book, there is no consensus among people what the percentages were back then of one-steppers and three-steppers. Who would really know enough about all those who participated in the merger to make a statement like that.

How many people were on the original Board?
How many were one-step and how many were three-step?
Can we even know sixty some years later?

Even IF this was true...so what? What's the point? Might makes right?

  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.

Were the "15%" somehow insignificant? They seem to have been significant enough to call some shots in the Fundamental Doctrine and the AOF. Hmmmm...

That's because the PCI (15%) had the money, and PAJC needed money. Or so I heard.

Where did you hear that?
How accurate do you think that is?

Re: DKB: 85% believed Acts 2:38 as New Birth at Me

Well the PCI did have a headquarters building.
From what I understand, the articles of faith and the Manual for the new organization was pretty much copied from the PCI manual.

I remember reading somewhere the numbers of ministers and churches in the PCI and in the PAJC at the merger but I don't remember where I read that. Does anyone have those figures and the source of the information?

Re: DKB: 85% believed Acts 2:38 as New Birth at Me

Now that money is no longer a primary consideration and the number may be less, it's justifiable to squeeze them out?

FWIW I believe one of the following scenarios are true:

Either the number of one steppers are at an all time high in the UPC

Or

The number of Light Doctrine adherents are huge.

Sometimes it's hard to get a straight answer - especially from ministers. No one wants to be called on the carpet or labeled "soft on the doctrine".

The tweet seems to be swimming in arrogance, domination, and power. I still can't figure any reasonable response besides, "So what?"
