Re: Christian people listening to secular music

I wonder. Do you think someone that prays and draws closer to God might start listening less and less to "worldly" music?

  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

I've never been anywhere when anyone broke out in that song.

Absolutely they will!! The closer you get to God, the further you get away from the world!

When we draw closer to God, certain songs may make us feel ick. A lot of that will depend on ourselves, our history, the way certain songs speak to us as individuals. Some are more blatant, like ones that glorify adultery. A specific list isn't necessary. We can use our discernment in this area just like we do in other areas.

Then shouldn't we teach people how to get closer to God instead of giving them a set of rules?

Re: Christian people listening to secular music

Is there a differnce between secular and wordly music? Can one be secular but not worldly? If someone is listening to sensual/wordly music or watching AI or DWTS star they have some issues.
