God's Approval of Unbelief (?)
This may sound like a silly question, but if swift judgment or frightening deathbeds don't happen to people who were indifferent or even hostile to my evangelism to them, does this mean God approves of them? I would think if God disapproved, one of these things would happen. This is getting me to think that my "unsaved (?)" family members may not be wrong after all.
By swift judgment, I mean sudden misfortune or death soon after rebuffing. Such as what I have heard happened to some who refused to go to the altar at revival or camp meeting.
By frightening deathbeds, I mean the person seeing demons "dragging their soul to Hell" or "seeing themself descend into flames" or "realizing they are lost" right before death. Similar to what is described by Maurice Rawlings and Solomon Benjiman Shaw.
I used to do street evangelism using a "Holiness or Hell" sign on the back of my bicycle, or holding a "Repent" sign on the sidewalk.
The anecdotal stories I heard and read about swift judgment or deathbed scenes don't happen in real life.
