In memory...

I know Memorial Day was created for soldiers who lost their lives in combat, but, there are other soldiers who shoud be honored and remembered. I'm referring to ministers who served on the frontlines of spiritual warfare who have gone on to their rewards. Ministers of the Gospel who stood for the truth and preached the Word of God with conviction. Who lived the life, who walked the walk, and stood firm in the face of whatever opposition and persecution that came their way. They served the Lord with faithfulness, bringing many souls to the Lord, and are now resting from their labors with the Lord.

We owe them great honor. We owe them our thanks.

Marvin B. Taylor

H.E. Honea

Pastor Jimmy Painter

Brother T. Grady Reece

Brother Burkett McCann

Bishop J. P Ward

Pastor Samuel Percy Booth

Please post the names of any ministers you may wish to remember....

Re: In memory...

I think we should have a national day to honor those faithful men and women and children who gave their lives on the battle front of sin and evil.
I also think we should include all those who have been martyred for the testimony of Jesus from Paul forward to this present day.

Re: In memory...

Our late father, Rev. Robert L. Blakey. Not only did he serve on the front lines of battle
in WWII in the Philipines and Japan, but came home to raise eleven children and pastor a
church he and Mom founded beginning with their own family. Pastored for over 30 yrs.

Ten of those eleven children, with their families, grandchildren and great-grandchildren,
will meet for an Annual Family Reunion. We will remember our late parents, and all of our
family veterans, many who have gone to be with the Lord and other who remain. May ALL
of THE VETERANS who served in this great county, be REMEMBERED tomorrow and always!
