Changing the subject just a minute...all 4 gospels record the triumphal entry into Jerusalem...all the shouting and so on...however while the people shouted He wept...They did not know their day of visitation...May Jesus help us today...(sorry ready the last 2 posts reminded me of that thought) although not connected with these posts...

The words "Blessed is he who cometh in the name of the Lord" were first spoken by Jerusalem when Jesus rode there on the colt in Matt 21 on the day of His triumphal entry. The pharisees rebuked the people and told Jesus to stop them. Jesus commented the stones would cry out if they stopped. Jerusalem turned her back on Him that day. From that day forward Jesus gave parables and outright rebukes about Jerusalem losing the opportunity and another party getting it instead.

So when Jesus remarked about Jerusalem being left desolate and then referred to those words again that she first gave to Jesus before the Pharisees successfully squashed the reception for Him as Messiah, he was basically telling them they got offtrack that day when they should have accepted Him. And until they revert to shouting that same welcome again and get back ontrack at the very point they left, they will not see Him.

THIS MAY OCCUR when Israel comes to God before the rapture according to Romans 11:25-26 when a revival hits and gentiles are won to God by masses and a concerted effort is made with the new converts to reach Israel, and Israel comes in wholesale! Scholars for centuries before dispensationalism believed Romans 11:25-26 was just that. Dispensationalism made the silly notion that the fullness of Gentiles coming in is the rapture, as though the church is Gentile when Paul plainly said in Eph 2-3 that it is JEW AND GENTILE TOGETHER in one body.

It may refer to the BLINDNESS put upon Israel of the first century alone, keeping in mind that God said he would never again mete the fathers' sons upon their children in EZEK. 18:2-3, specifically referring to Israel. Since that generation alone was distinguished as being blinded, and it was judged in AD70, the blinders would not be put upon their descendants aside from whomever satan blinds from teh gospel like those of any other nation.

Not sure which of the two is correct. But it only regards them seeing Him and having their opportunity which they forfeited in His triumphal entry.

I have often in various forums mentioned how discussion about standards and clothing by far take the lead in the most posts made by people.

Since I joined a certain forum two days ago, look at these figures, involving posts concerning my stance against standards of dress, primarily.
