Why do we need a picture of Jesus ? What would the purpose be ?
I'm not comfortable with pictures of Jesus in my home. It's too Catholic for me. I question why pents and aps have them in their home. IMO, it violates the principle of "though shalt not make unto thee any graven image." Before some moron says "it's a picture, not a graven image," that is why I said "principle."
I love modern impressions of Jesus, I think they help people relate to an very PRESENT help in a time of trouble!!

You know good well that every sin is not spelled out in black and white or red in the Bible. Covers alot of things to be sure. God gave us sense and most of all the HolyGhost to "gauge" what we do in our lives.
Our bodies are the temple of this most precious Holyghost, so why
would I want to mutilate it in any way on purpose?
I have the Holy Spirit and my body is a temple of Him. That's why I abstain from sexual immorality, as the scripture was speaking about. I gauged my ears because I liked the look of it.

No. earrings are just jewelry and men and women were allowed to wear them. In fact, the Bible says:
"I clothed you in embroidered cloth and gave you sandals of badger skin; I clothed you with fine linen and covered you with silk. I adorned you with ornaments, put bracelets on your wrists, and a chain on your neck. And I put a jewel in your nose, earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head." (Ezekiel 16:10-12)

I agree with your statement there. I have seen too many pictures depicting Jesus, and it has begun to bother me especially as we were not to attempt to make any likeness of Him. He asked to whom He could be compared or made to be like. The fact is that there is not any.
Further, I already know that He is a very present help in my time of trouble. I do not need an image of Him to remind me of that, nor have I heard any but the strangest sounding Charismatics make such a claim.
