Re: Faith vs. Common Sense

For the most part, when you post an opinion here about ANYTHING, it is going to be discussed. However, when you present a DOCTRINE here, it will be debated and argued over and chewed into minute pieces until it no longer resembles what the original thread was about... and somewhere in the middle of all that, yes, there are people here who care about each other. I know I do at least. I've prayed for the prayer requests mentioned, and when it seemed that a brother/sister was in need of prayer as evidence by their posts.

This may not be a "lovey-dovey sugar plum and pie in the sky" place, but these people are all real, and (I believe) all seeking to please Jesus. That is a common bond, and one that helps to overlook the few that think it is their way or the highway for everyone else. Most feel free to post their opinions, thoughts, and facts, and be accepting with a disagreement, although there are a few that love to debate every.last.little.word.you.say!

Hang on, stay around, and I believe you'll learn a lot

Thank you all. I like it here, I don't mean to whine about it. It's just not what I was expecting while it is exactly what I should have expected, and I guess I feel a bit intimidated.

Re: Faith vs. Common Sense

My dad posted hear about a year ago. It was his influence that started me posting, but I was under no illusions as to what I was getting into (he quoted some of the people that were here at that time).

I am sorry that you were shocked by what you saw. We generally try to warn people before they get into this shark infested tank. (I am not calling anyone in here a shark. I like all of you very much.)
