I am a comfort food eater and love ice cram and gelato so at least this way I can make some healthy versions for the family. I am looking forward to sorbet also.

I'm glad you got your AC fixed so quickly, and without having to spend an exorbitant amount of money - that is a praise report in itself!!!

I think all you guys burning up need to take a visit up here to the Northwest.... it is 60 degrees here this morning, and our high today will maybe make 80.

Sure is nice >>>>>>

Cc1, let me know how it turns out! I may be interested - I am a major sucker for good quality gizmos.

Tell ya what, I will take this heat over the cold any day. A nice thing about the HOT temps here in AZ is that the humidity is in the low teens to single digits -and no bugs! (Very little standing water and the lizards eat the few remaining.)

The heat isn't so bad, it's about 99 degrees. It's the humidity. A few nights ago the air was so thick I could barely breathe.

It's all perspective! I took a long hike today with my kids, up and down some backwood logging trails. It was about 70 degrees. Amazing weather. I love having the full four seasons.

I'm still doing the happy dance

I will. It is the delonghi 6000 gelato maker.

We ate Gelato every day we were in Rome this summer on vacation and I have been craving it.

This week I had to go to the Ritzy part of Nashville to an upscale mall and they had a Gelato place there. My excitement turned to disappointment though as the chocolate hazlenut gelato did not hold a candle in flavor or texture to the gelato we go in Rome.

We will have to eat our homemade gelato right after it is made because one of the things that sets gelato apart from ice cream is that it has to be kept at an exact temperature that is above freezing and of course we have no way to do that.

Middle Tennessee is usually a very pleasant place weather wise. Even on the hot summer days it cools down in the evenings.
