One of my pastors told the congregation that if his pastor told him not to drink Dr. Peppers, then he would not drink Dr. Peppers.
This is simply a control issue when statements like this are made.

See, there are pages and pages of debate here and it all boils down to how each one interprets scripture.
But of course that doesn't matter really, cause your the only ones that are right. Right ?

Re: Is there anyone who is Apostolic anymore?
Don't see how you came up with that conclusion. Paul was furious with Peter for acting like a legalist. Paul was furious with the legalists trying to enforce legalism on the Galatian church. Subjective standards cannot be used as a criteria for heaven or hell. Paul told the Galatians he taught them better. In my opinion legalism is more dangerous to the church than homosexuality. Paul says the enforcement of subjective opinions as a condition of salvation is witchcraft. The principle is legalism is a tool Satan uses to keep the focus away from the cross.

Re: Is there anyone who is Apostolic anymore?
Some people ignore the Bible because it contradicts their theology. They make the Bible say what it wants it to say. No one can take legalists seriously because they are always looking for loopholes.

Actually, I think Peter was playing the hypocrite, not the 'legalist'.
But then again, that would be determined by what 'legalism' is.

Yip, sho do.
Sometimes ya gotta hold'm to the book(bereans) tho, cause every great now and then they can get off into "teaching for doctorines the commandments of men" that is a stumbling block to the Kingdom of God, just as Jesus addressed to those pharisees that lost the Kingdom. And a good leader will always be open to, and desire scriptural accountability, dealt with in the right spirit of course. (IMO)
Take the no facial hair rule to partcipate in "inhouse church ministry" for example, besides eyebrows of course...
