We have a Democrat controlled Senate and a Republican controlled House. The Senate would agree with whatever the President does.

What does that say about them? Actions speak louder than words?

The Oval Office is the single most influential power in the government. The executive branch sets all of the official policies. Executive orders can accomplish much without Congressional approval. Recess appointments often times skirts Congressional oversight. And the the judicial appointments, not only for Supreme Court but the entire federal judiciary. Those are probably the most lasting effect of a president. In spite of your reservations about Romney, to me it's a no-brainer---we KNOW what Obama's governance is going to be like for four more years. And second term presidents always show their true colors more than in the first term. If this is what we get in four years, what in the heck will happen four years from now? Romney is a gamble worth taking. Obama? Not a chance. Guaranteed loser.
I can't believe you would even consider Obama for a second.

Re: A Single Issue Voter: Obama a One Term Prez
this attitude of getting obama out has caused gridlock in congress and damage to our country. losing the triple a rating was the fault of congress failing to compromise in order to make obama look bad. what about working together and reaching a compromise? the republicans have been unwilling and they should be thrown out of congress.

Oh you want them to work together now? But when the Dems had control they wouldn't work together on nothing!
The dems only want to work together if it is something they want, otherwise they don't work together at all!

Just because I ask for a reason to vote Obama does not mean I am considering voting for him. I started the thread to make a point.
The point is made.
Nobody came up with any good reasons at all.

No...I don't think this was the reason we lost the triple A rating at all.
This is the result of several administration's bad economic policies. Obama did not do this by himself.
Why should the republicans be thrown out of Congress when democrats do the very same nasty thing? None of them are considering the american people. The democrats closed the door completely when forming the insurance reform bill they call the Affordable Healthcare Act. The name itself is a hoax.

If you care one shred about the future of this country, you better be willing to ignore all other issues and make defeating Obama in November your sole reason for voting for Romney. Romney isn't my favorite choice to run against Obama but I'd take him any day over our current president.
Wise up, vote for Romney, if not for any reason than for the single issue of removing this president from office.

Re: A Single Issue Voter: Obama a One Term Prez
This thread doesn't reflect right thinking at all.
It's this kind of mindset that makes me want to vote for Obama all the more.
We need Republicans and Democrats who are willing to work together, not Republicans that are willing to let our country's AAA rating slip simply to make the Democrat President look bad.
B. Hussein Obama for President of the USA!
