Re: Why are you conservative?

I do not want to catch the cooties so I will only have sex inside of marriage.
I disagree with socialism as I believe that it will destroy my faith.
I have a certain standard in which iI bellieve that we should accept personal responsiblity.

Of course, I have some thoughts on the matter , but never mind that. I am genuinely interested in why you have chosen to be conservative. What aspects of conservative values and ideals appeal to you, and why? I'll try to avoid responding cynically, sarcastically, disrespectfully, or in any other way negatively.

Feel free to address the question from a religious, economic, social, or any point of view you would like to.

Same question could be asked of anyone, but let's start here, with the cons and ultracons, shall we?
Are there any cons and ultracons left on AFF?

Would you define conservative for us so that we can know if we are conservative or not?

Re: Why are you conservative?

I am a Conservative in the sense that we are told to contend for the faith once delivered to the saints. We have to promote and defend it opposing all else.

Re: Why are you conservative?

Good question. My relationship with Jesus is everything to me. That said, I hold consecrations that lead me to be what most of the members in my church would consider conservative. I do not want to get into specifics because I want to remain modest about my modesty. I hold certain consecrations not out of fear of hell, to "one up" my less conservative brothers and sisters because of an insecurity or need to prove something, nor do I think my righteousness will "earn" me heaven. My conservative values and consecrations are nothing more than my effort to keep fleshly kingdoms at bay in my life and allow room for Gods kingdom to reign in me. I am determined to be close to Jesus and Im careful and conservative not to allow anything of my flesh to put a wedge between He and I.

Is being spokesperson for Dos Equis one of those consecrations?

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

I prefer to let people call themselves conservative, or not.

Re: Why are you conservative?

Actually, there are a few of us left here ...

I would be what some might call ultra conservative, but by my own conviction.

These are my rules I live by and they work for me in my relationship with God.

I have developed a moreso attitude of live and let live but I don't budge personally.
