I haven't gotten up the nerve to try my hand at making bar soaps just yet. It seems so daunting....
Our grocery store recently started selling milk in glass bottles. The first time you buy the milk, it costs $5 or so/gallon, but when you return the bottles, you get a $2.25 deposit back. As long as you remember to exchange your bottles, the milk is no more expensive than the regular brands--and it's much better quality. It's from Memory Lane Dairy in Fordland, Missouri. I love it. They also sell some fun flavors that our kids enjoy trying out: Orange Dream (aka dreamsicle?), Root Beer Float, and Cotton Candy, as well as the more common strawberry and chocolate milk. We haven't tried the cotton candy flavor yet, but the kids love all the other flavors. They also sell cream top milk which is awesome, except the kids kept thinking it was spoiled.
I doubt I'll ever buy body scrubs again. The nice Alba scrub I used to buy runs about $12 for 3 oz. What I make myself is soooo much nicer and I can make large quantities of it for a lot less cost.
Me too!! I made it last year for Christmas gifts and loved it!! Thank goodness for Pinterest. Time to make some more!!
I made cocoa butter cream too!
Here's one recipe I used:
Sea Salt Citrus Body Scrub
1/2 cup sea salt
1/2 cup sweet almond oil
(can substitute light olive oil or vegetable oil)
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon orange zest
Directions
In a medium dry bowl, combine all ingredients making sure to not let any water touch them as it will dissolve the salt. Pour mixture into an airtight container and store in a cool dry place.
To use: Just before showering, swirl ingredients together with your fingertips to mix. Clean body completely and just before exiting shower, apply Citrus Salt Body Scrub to body in a firm circular scrubbing motion with hands or a soft washcloth. Rinse off the mixture and pat body dry with a clean towel.

Why do I get the impression that you're being facetious? But hey, Louie wanted unpasteurized milk, too--check Craigslist, and make sure they are separating the rams and the dames, unless you want goaty tasting milk.

Or just get cows milk, lol!
Gramen Farms does a drop to the Spring, Katy, Tomball and just about everywhere else areas for raw milk. I'd give you some but I'm having trouble keeping my share families covered since I started drying Poppy off for her upcoming calf.
And if it's really not your thing, your local grocery has the pasturized kind
Yes check ebay or etsy... lots of sellers there. I sent one sweet sister here some soap... she sent me back some beautiful hand made stationary and greeting cards... I definitely got the best end of the deal!
Actually Scott there is some current research that suggests anti-bacterial soaps are responsible for the recent increase in childhood illness. Kids need to be exposed to low levels of less harmful bacteria to build immunity to more virulent strains and for their bodies to 'learn' to quickly mount an immune response. Keeping them too clean and germ free is not always a good idea...
Explains in part why farm kids get sick so much less... they are always getting dirty, adults too!

? Really? Well, you might just Google "raw milk" then; I found my (goat) dairy on CL...or ask T2W, I'm a def neo here. Surprised she would recommend cow over goat, or pasteurized v not. Personally, I like enzymes, and calcium retention, but I have to believe she knows more. Calcium is a metal, and the calcium that can't be absorbed from cow's milk--a higher % than goat's, is my take--must be eliminated.
