Freddie Combs - The X Factor
I think we discussed this a while back, but did anyone else see Freddie Combs, Apostolic preacher from Tennessee (I think?) audition last night?
His story is pretty inspirational...in 2009 he weighed 920 lbs. and now, he's down to 540. He gave so much credit to his wife who stood by his side....he was still in wheelchair, but he sang "Wind Beneath My Wings" in dedication to her, and the judges were blown away.
Simon said, "I envision you singing that song standing up.....and you just need some inspiration....we can provide that, but you have to promise me that you will work to get even healthier so you can stand on the stage, because a person with your talent needs to be freed of that wheelchair".
Anyway, thought it was pretty cool...the crowd went nuts, gave him a standing "O".
He said in a post performance interview.."This was dedicated to all the people who are bound by something, anything, and think their life is over, that it will never get any better".

It's easier to let someone else define the boundaries, tell them which blanks to fill in, and what color to use than it is for them to take a blank canvas and seek inspiration from the Source in order to paint their own masterpiece"
