The Rose Garden speech was a response to Benghazi. Given the context of the entire speech, Obama referred to what happened at Benghazi as a terrorist attack. If not, then why even use that phraseology?

He used that phraseology because the attack was carried out on 9/11/12. Not because he was condemning the Libya attack as a terrorist attack. He's being disingenuous to claim now that that's what he was saying. He didn't say that at all.

Obama made a huge mistake shutting down the conversation on Libya. That didn't look good.

Obama did hit Romney on the things he has been for and
against - assault weapons and coal.

Romney called Obama on his pension investments - they both have. lol

Romney did not answer the first question about jobs the young college boy asked.

Obama talked about oil companies not drilling and taking away permits. Same thing Palin faced in Alaska.

Obama dodged, big time, the Federal land drilling.

Romney said he was licking his wounds from being beaten by McCain. LOL! His handlers are going to tell him that was a stupid thing to say. He didn't have to interject that into the conversation.

Romney was wrong about Obama not mentioning "terror". His exact wording in the Rose Garden - "No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation,"

Gary Johnson tweets - "Apparently #Obama & #Romney aren't aware: the Second Amendment doesn't have an exception for automatic weapons." lol

On China - Romney wants tariffs. I remember Huntsman, former ambassador to China, saying in one of the primary debates that tough talk and new tariffs aren't the answer as it would cause a huge trade war.

At the end, Romney said, "Some campaign's are focused on attacking people." Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum just jumped out of their chairs.

My ending analysis tonight:

Romney was rude and mean, Obama wins. That means Mitt wins next week and that is the likely indication that Soros and his bankster buddies have picked Romney to be POTUS. Yippee! LOL!
I kinda thought Obama tried to out talk and interrupt Romney too.

No Romney didn't. However, in politics, at times it is politically advantgeous to NOT follow all the rules. It was risky, but Romney appeared more assertive than Obama and he did so WITHOUT coming across as a arrogant cowboy with an ego the size of Texas.

I can tell you this much, had it been Perry vs Obama, Obama would be eating Perry alive because of the arrogance that seems to emanate from Perry and many other GOP'ers.

Romney and Cain are GOP candidates that know how to be assertive and at the same not arrogant. No doubt they have honed and perfected this skill throughout their business careers.

Having watched the debate. This is exactly how it went down and how I also perceived it. The cropped video posted is very unclear, but when you watched the debate, Crowley is saying that Romney is also right that it took two weeks to abandon the "idea" that the attack was related to the video. She wasn't agreeing that Obama didn't use the word "terror". It is in his speech. And when he said "acts of terror" and "four MORE" Americans - he is including them in the terror attacks of 9-11.

Quote:
Candy Crowley's signature moment as moderator of the rough-and-tumble presidential debate came when she was called upon to referee a dispute over President Barack Obama's description of the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya an "act of terror."

When Republican Mitt Romney questioned the president's assertion that he called the incident an act of terror, Crowley said: "He did, in fact, sir."

"Can you say that a little louder, Candy?" Obama said, as the debate's audience broke into applause.

There was also applause when Crowley suggested that it took others in the administration as much as two weeks to abandon the idea that the attacks were related to protests over an anti-Islam video.

I was reading tweets by prominent Republicans saying Romney was rude and breaking the rules. One person, who especially hates Obama and thinks he is a Muslim, Pamela Geller, was tweeting that as well. So, no bias there.

The thing is, he did say that-- given the entire context of the speech.

You would have to read his mind to come up with what you are stating. "He said this, but this is what he really meant."

When one reads exactly what he said, and only what he said in that speech, one would come away thinking that Obama referred to Benghazi as a terrorist attack in that Rose Garden speech.

Think about my comparison to the theological debate over water baptism.

I really don't like these debate formats.

What they should do is shut off their mics so they can't interrupt.
