I have studied history and have read that when washington was praying for his troops at Valley Forge god told him when the first civil war would happen. I wonder if that is why washington oppossed slavery and set his slaves free when he died.
states have the right to leave the union when the federal government defies the constitution.

Brethren, we fought a Civil War at the cost of 700,000 American lives. I hope none of you seriously think for a second that a state could just leave the union with a petition. I cant believe people even talk about it.

It's just a disgruntled lot upset about the election outcome. The petition is at an official White House website. Who in their right mind would go there in the first place and sign anything?
