The way we typically baptize in our U.S. Churches we either get into the water with the one to be baptized or stand next to the tank where the one is to be baptized. Then we say, "I baptize you...." and we dip the person under the water. So, when we baptize someone it is something we do "in word" and "in deed."

I don't agree. They are obeying the Lord by being baptized in His name (by His authority).
I don't think there are any special magic words or incantation needed.
