If I make an actual pot of coffee I always grind the beans fresh; tastes much better!
One brand I like is Gevalia.
Not a fan of Starbucks; there are several local coffee shops that I enjoy. Some offer soy milk....but I react to soy too.
I'm thrilled when they use rice milk .

Is all coffee created equal? If not, why not? What is your favorite, and why?
Not created equal at all!! I actually prefer tea; but when the coffee urge strikes, Starbucks Sumatra is my very favorite. Starbucks is my least favorite coffee shop, but they do this one roast really really well. It's so dark and rich that it stands up to flavored creamers and/or syrups without ever seeming thin or light - the bold rich coffee flavor comes through strong without being bitter.
I don't think it should be allowed in the sanctuary.
However, I do have a cup on Sunday mornings in the sound booth.

All coffee is definately not created equal. CC1...I have to agree starbucks is bitter and scorched tasting when I buy it there but not when I make it at home.I think its because they make it so strong. My fav is actually dunkin donuts. I do grind my own beans.

And should coffee be allowed in the Sanctuary of our churches?
Absolutely

No not all coffee is created equal. Thank you for starting a thread one of favorite indulgences. Arabica beans are the ones to get. Grind them yourself in a burr grinder and brew in a French press. Yum. I'll add a pic later.
what what? are you me?????
