That was so nice of you Timmy. I'm sure your parents appreciated
that so much. Is there no one else to help take them to church when
you are not around. I assume you live a good distance from them?
They have some friends who would help if asked, but they probably wouldn't want to impose. I might discuss it with them, not that I think going to church is all that great (), but it's important to them. They've been loving and helpful to so many others over the years, including giving rides to church, it really shouldn't bother them to be on the receiving end, for a change!
I'm in TX, they're in CA.

Seems like the friends would already see the need? Maybe you could
sort of put a little bug in their ears?
I know how it is with the elderly folks. I've taken care of many in my
family over the years. Very independent people who never want to
feel obligated to anyone or feel like a burden. snifffff I'd do it all over
again again and again if they were all still alive.
Oh, I forgot you're a Texan. Do you have other siblings
nearer to your folks?

After I posted, I thought of doing just that.

No. They had a granddaughter living very close, but they moved away a few months ago.

For if the True Saints of God are ever going to Be Overcomer's they must Excel Everyday in Prayer, Fasting and Winning Souls. The God of This World is Not taking any Breaks and is Advancing Everyday, i Believe we Must Advance Greater and Overcome the Adversary. In our Time right Now Its a Cake Walk Compared to Whats to Come. And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of Man. Sir Ma'am you can never have Too much of God or Church.
We have two Sunday morning services, and I'm still at church from 7 AM till about 1 PM. Before we had the new building, we were at one time doing four Sunday services. It was insane! The staff got NO rest on Sundays and were literally there all day long.
In our last church in Adamsville, I would get there at 8 AM, stay till about 1 PM, go to lunch, come straight back and be there till about 9 PM. People that griped about losing the Sunday night service were obviously not staff members. Lol!
All that said, I do miss Sunday nights, but our Wednesday nights are now what Sunday nights used to be.
The writer of Hebrews said 'so much the more as you see the day approaching" I guess some folks are preterists and they don't see the day approaching. I still feel like David "I was glad when they said."
If you have a strong personal relationship with Jesus why WOULDN'T you want more church?
Is the need us? Or is it the hungry and the thirsty that are looking for God or maybe those that are weak in their "personal relationship" with Jesus Christ and need a lift.
Why do we see "church" always about what WE can get out of it and not rather what we can GIVE to our fellow brothers and sisters or to a sinner that might be visiting?
