What horrible effects will it have on society, if I'm right in my prediction that this belief will fade, in time? What good things are there here and now, with the situation we have: laws prohibiting gay marriage (in most states, for the time being), and some churches preaching against homosexuality? Does the preaching work, for some gays -- do they repent and turn straight (or at least remain celibate for the rest of their lives)? Do the laws in most states protect marriage, somehow?

This!^

IMO, there are two types of gays.
1. Those who just want to live and let live. They want to be treated like other human beings instead of being treated like they have leprosy or something!

2. Those that have an assertive agenda (in your face) to make homosexuality mainstream. These people make me angry!

On the other hand, the lack of understanding or tolerance from some on the right makes me angry too! Try to put yourself in their shoes, and imagine what you would do or how you would act if you felt powerless to fit in as "normal". Imagine if you felt like even God had abandoned you. You've cried many tears asking God to change you, but nothing happened. Imagine dealing with the stress of realizing a life sentence of abstinence is the only way you'll make it to Heaven.

Sexual attraction is not a choice! One is wired one way or the other. I am straight, so I can't imagine being attracted to the same sex if society and the church demanded it. To be honest, I would probably still be attracted to my wife and continue to have sex. I am what I am! I'm willing to give that same respect to those that are wired differently than me!

I advocate not judging another because they sin differently that we do.

Re: How Many Gays Does It Take to....

The problem is the GOVERNMENT. Marriage should be a private contract between private individuals. GOVERNMENT should get out of the marriage business. No matter what one believes about "gay marriage" it's not the GOVERNMENT'S job to be a NANNY that regulates and manages our private associations.
