"God will circumvent His word." People have said that. OK. If you say so.
I, by the way, do not believe that. I believe everything God has said is true, and He will never do anything contrary to what He has said. He never has broken a promise and never will.
IMO.
I agree with you.

God doesnt break promises. Its often times his children dont allow God to fulfill the promises in their life. But who am i to talk?
NG, with all due respect, please I mean no offense when I post this, you would find that most, if not all Christians would say the same as you have posted above.
Taking off doctrinal glasses means what to who?
Have you taken off your doctrinal glasses and traded them in for a new pair? This seems like you are saying that "your" doctrinal glasses are the only correct ones... of which every other religion obviously thinks of themselves.
How do YOU know you have on the only correct "doctrinal glasses?"

Isn't that the tried a true mantra?
The Jehovah Witness is told by the Baptist to take off his doctrinal glasses so he can see the Baptist truth, or the Pentecostal truth?
Just think about the plethora of doctrinal teachings out there? Each group uses the same Bible, and Greek dictionary we use, and they all with one accord say that they believe that it is all about Christ and Him crucified, and justification by faith, but just happen to see it at slightly a different angle?
Yes, you do have faithful followers of Brother John Birch who will never question, or search, but we also have those who took off their "doctrinal glasses" put on another set of "doctrinal glasses" and end back where they started, yet, feel they have come to an enlightenment which the cave dwellers they use to be affiliated with don't have yet.
Jesus said that the well need no physician.
I do believe Internet Forum Land has proved that to be very true.
May the force be with you.
It seems to me that you think you must possess the truth, and that your doctrinal glasses are the only correct ones. What makes you think this? And what makes you different from the rest of all the interpretations of scripture in the multitudes of church denominations that we have?
Of course you do! Who wouldn't? Oh. Yeah. All those people who think God will circumvent His word.
Correct.

Just wondering
A few years back I was in the middle of Bible study class a brother brought up that the Pope made a comment that the Roman Catholic Church was the only way to truth. The brother asked me what I thought, I told him that the Pope better believe that or else he shouldn't be the Pope.
Yet, to answer your question, may be better answered by asking you two questions?
Did Jesus and the apostles believe they had the only truth?
Do you believe that you have the truth they had?
