Re: Best Easter Service... Ever...

A Cantata at a little Nazarene Church, after attending Sunrise Services. Beautiful music and lyrics, that told the awesome story of Jesus Christ victorious over death and the grave. I was glad I was able to participate.

Re: Best Easter Service... Ever...

Observed Maundy Thursday with a local congregation tonight. Ending with the reading of Psalm 21 - very moving. Thankful for the hope and expectation of a glorious Easter Morning!

Re: Best Easter Service... Ever...

I went to a Good Friday service about 20 years ago at a Lutheran church. The pastor was dressed in black, it was somber, and he read the Gospel of the day and then closed the Bible with a stark thud that evoked what seemed to be the finality of Jesus' death with no possibility of resurrection. It was VERY effective and I've thought about it a lot since then.
