This may sound silly and elementary but perhaps some of you all here might give me your take on the difference between being Religious and truly having faith in Christ ?
I'm sure we can all agree that one can be religious and not be a True Christian. I'd like to hear from others on this matter.
In short, someone who is religious puts their faith in laws, rules and traditions while a true Christian relies on their faith in Christ and him alone.

God bless
Makes sense thanks.

To me, being "religious" is believing in and practicing the set doctrines and standards of a given church, denomination, or religion. Having faith in Christ, as I understood it was having a "personal" relationship with Jesus that transcends religion. When I left the UPCI I began to actually develop a "personal" relationship with Jesus. And since then I have learned many things.
Today, I'm still spiritually evolving and progressing beyond being "religious". I'm now discovering the inherent worth and truth found in all spiritual paths.
