It is so so sad. There were not many of us left that were holy. The pastor dropped license with the UPC and started some family camp.

Not many of us left...
Anywaysssssssss, that didn't answer my question about how you can hand down a dress code saying it is NOT a heaven or hell issue. How can you say either way your salvation is not based on this, BUT if you DON'T dress this way, you are not part of the church?
Does anyone know how to explain this? Because, I think it's liking the whole thing to church policy, much like wearing a uniform required at a business entity.
I don't have a problem with platform rules. I do have a problem with saying these rules are not a heaven or hell issue while, actually, coming across as though that is what you are saying.
As a matter of fact, I find it hard to believe that anyone that has told me our standards are not a heaven and hell issue really believe that. The last time I had a conversation about this the pastor replied, "It's what the community expects of us and we have to deliver." So, okay.
I do believe those in leadership need to, especially, set an example of dressing modestly as I notice that the congregation will always do less.
