So, we're newbies. We have come to absolutely LOVE our UPCI Church, it's been over 3months, and although we have found some common issues noted by many... no Church is perfect, but this is the closest we've ever known!
So why the battle of comments I see against the UPC?
If you have another org, what is it and what makes it so different?

I won't get into here, because it has been a very long time ago and I don't wan't to be considered bitter. We left for good reasons. Honestly we did not just leave UPC but we left the teachings that was the back bone of the denomination.
We are still Pentecostal we attend the Assemblies of God.

We have a licensed minister who is white and married to Latino. We two other couples who are mixed white and black. My daughter (white) is dating one of the black youths in our church. He is a youth leader and she is a praise singer.
All over the south is a bit broad brushing ya think? Or I guess my church is the ONLY one.

In fact I think that the insinuation of "hateful" Pentecostals is coming mostly from the fertile imaginations of bitter, backslidden ex Apostolics who are constantly trying to find a way to justify their actions. ~ strait shooter
Scotty, the church I grew up in was that way for most of my life. Things have really changed over the last 20 years though, thank God.
It is hard to overcome culture and the culture of the South has been very much opposed to mixed race marriage.
I am glad to see that this is changing in profound ways. My home church is no longer like that.
The church I attend certainly is NOT racist. we are such a mixed lot it blows my mind every sunday. I like to say we look like what Heaven will look like.

I'm happy for you Scotty really I am... but while I might be 'broad brushing' you sounding incredulous at the idea that racism exists in the Pentecostal Church is no less ridiculous.

There is a reason why there is a black org (PAW) and many white orgs.
Racism is alive and well in the Midwest and South.
