So worship only the divine part of him?

Interesting. I always like seeing the other sides explanation. You allow for worship of Jesus even though he is not God, God is worshipped as God and Jesus is worshipped as Lord. Very interesting. On a more pointed note I could simply reask my original question with "should we worship Jesus as God?" That would be enough to still unsure my point and remove all the we should worship him but not as God answers

Can you elaborate on your concept? Or would it be easier if I simply asked a few questions about your concept, it's just without more info I'm not really sure where to begin.

If we take the time to define worship, we see the following ideas (inexhaustive):

- Love
- Obedience
- Submission/subjection to
- Gratefullness
- Humility before
- Praise (we boast and brag on)
- Glorify (i.e. we talk about highly to others)
- Share (we share what's good about the object of our worship with other in the hopes of convincing them)
- Devotion (the object of our worship comes first before all)

With this in mind, it is fully acceptable, Biblically speaking, for someone to do all of the above to and for Jesus, the Son of God.

Is it not then worship?

Even to someone like me, who does not conflate the man Christ Jesus with God the Father resident and manifested within?

A close friend of the president or former president would treat the president or former president with all of the above. If those things are what worship entails than I submit that Jesus only needs to be a great man to receive worship, for many kings and presidents have received the same worship.

Is such the worship the scripture speaks of when Jesus told Satan that God alone should be worshiped?

Re: Should we worship Jesus?

i find it passing strange that follow does not come up in that list...i am not a big facebooker, and don't do "twoo" at all, even though i do still get notices in my spam folder from them. They are an Israeli website. Anyone notice "Worship Us" under their FB link on the lower right? (of course they mean "follow us")
