I don't think it is, either, other than under the clause of modesty and moderation or not being extravagant. However, if someone teaches against jewelry (rings/earrings/bracelets/necklaces, etc), I appreciate their being consistent and not being gaudy in other ways.

Actually the scriptures strongly support a pro Jewelry position.

Even Jesus himself wears jewelry, what is the anti-jewelry crowd going to do, scold Jesus for wearing jewelry?

He is the king of King and he wears a crown of jewels he also wears a golden sash, that is also jewelry.

The whole city of Jerusalem is made of precious stones which are used in jewelry

The whole city is made of Gold, the angels also wear golden sashes, the candlesticks are made of Gold.

The city has gigantic pearls.
