Re: Are we the bride of Christ?
Remember, in ancient times betrothal was just as binding as the wedding. A man's betrothed was often called a "wife". Also, to terminate a betrothal a writ of divorcement was necessary. Scripture plainly says that Mary was Joseph's wife ( Matthew 1:20,24, Luke 2:5). But at the same time, she was betrothed to him:
Matthew 1:18-19, "...Mary was betrothed to Joseph...Joseph...was minded to put her away." So yes, although the marriage hasn't taken place yet, we are the bride of Christ.

Brother Aquila, Matt 25 is a clear depiction of what we are talking about...There are 10 virgins (5 wise and 5 foolish). They are all awaiting the bridegroom, but because of not having oil for their lamps, the 5 foolish are left, and the 5 wise are taken to the consumation. We must be Spirit filled and vigilant(always ready) until Jesus catches us away, or we ourselves may miss the wedding of Rev. 19.....7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
It is possible to be part of the bride and still miss our wedding.....

Re: Are we the bride of Christ?
I would not say that the whole church is the bride. The church as a whole makes up the body but from within the body comes the bride.

Matt. 25 shows 5 virgins to not be ready to go with the groom. We wont actually be married to Jesus until Rev. 19:7. We must die or be "caught away" first to be at the scene of Rev. 19. Even you and I could be left behind by the bridegroom if we lose our walk with God. There will not be any divorces from the Lord in eternity, but we as His espoused, can stain our robes with sin. He is our "spouse" to us individually, like Mary was espoused to Joseph, but not yet married....
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

So, if I'm a Holy Ghost filled person, part of the NT Bride and Matt. 25 was fulfilled at Pentecost, am I pre-destined to be saved? JW

I would guess that the way we would be considered to be the bride or not to the Lord is whether or not we have the wedding garments on and are full of the Holy Ghost.
