Re: Social drinking?

The fact is all your arguments about what the bible says, about the word wine referring to both fermented and non-fermented, is rubbish invented by people who want to believe it's a sin to drink any amount of alcohol..

I always found it ironic that so many do that yet have no problem taking NyQuil when sick

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Re: Social drinking?

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Okay, what I am saying is if DRUNKENNESS(sin) will get you in hell, it all starts with a drink(little sin)....

Then lust(thinking of sinning) causes immorality(sin)

Therefore if you even think of touching something that will Biblically put you in hell, why take a chance.

Paul lumps drinking with all the other works of the flesh here...

Getting drunk does start with one drink. The times that I have been drunk were because that was my objective.

Re: Social drinking?

Gluttony starts with one meal too. No buffets, don't want to take a chance do you?
