Ahhhhh.... no we all most certainly do not.

I cannot believe for a moment that anyone is born gay. No sir. It's an influence from a spirit, usually due to homosexual molestation as a child.

Of course not everyone has homosexual thoughts....even secular sources support that.

I disagree with your assertion regarding homosexual molestation. First..molestation and other sexual assault rarely has little to do with sex....and more to do with power. That means the gender of the assailant has little to do with the harm done.

I do agree that circumstances during early childhood can wreak havoc on a person's development. It's not just molestation that can cause damage, though.

Is it possible that you can't conceive of someone being born gay... because you were born straight... the very reason why you've never had a homosexual thought?

Besides, it's not about being born "gay". It's your brain's pleasure centers reacting to same gender pheromone over opposite gender pheromone, as a result you have "chemistry" with the same gender over the opposite gender.

As it pertains to molestation... there are countless instances of people growing up in very conservative homes by loving parents who were not abused in any way being gay.

I do not doubt that there is some spirit related to this sin. But the spirit doesn't cause the sin, else all we'd have to do is cast the spirit out and the person would magically become "straight".

Re: Homosexuality question

I believe that we're all born fallen. Our bodies are directly affected by the fall, that's why we age, are subject to sickness and disease, have genetic abnormalities, hormonal imbalances, birth defects, etc.

The myth is that we are born perfect. We're not. We're born broken and fallen. There is no good thing in our flesh. I'm not convinced that this isn't related in some manner to our fallen nature. Therefore, I'd not be surprised to see a genetic or hormonal connection. Please understand, I don't believe this condition or infirmity would cause one to be homosexual. However, it would explain why some have a predisposition towards the behavior from their earliest years while others don't.

It's always a choice to give into the fallen nature of the flesh... or to surrender to the Spirit.

Does that imply that if a person has homosexual thoughts they are likely born gay?

Re: Homosexuality question

The reason the "born gay" idea started was for gay people to excuse themselves from sin, since they cannot help the way they are born. True, we're all born in sin, anyway, and we can do something about that by being born again. But the reason I say no one is born gay is because no one would think anybody was unless they sought an excuse as I described. ...in my opinion.

Yes, I'm sure that was it. Not that no matter how hard they try, they can't feel physical attraction or arousal from the opposite gender, even though they think they'll end up in hell if they don't. No, it must be just and excuse from sin. Yes, you nailed it.

Still bitter? lol

I'm sure your sarcasm betrays the correct attitude we should all have as believers. The mockery of God and the bible you portray is really the way we should all go, right? You know, satan is a myth and Jesus was wrong as the day is long, and the bible is nonsense, right? Yep, anything you say, bro!

Re: Homosexuality question

In the OT, homosexuality was an abomination, so IF, and that's a HUGE IF, homosexuals were born homosexual, doesn't the New BIRTH eradicate their old birth? JW

What you posted was wrong. Simple as that. Argue with my son, if you like: his testimony contradicts your baseless claim. He begged God to make him straight. When God didn't do that, it led to depression. He thought about killing himself every single day. Yeah, you tell him he is just making an excuse for sin.
