Can't really compare Ebola and the flu. Each year, there are millions of people who become ill with the flu. Thousands die. The current Ebola outbreak has killed well over a thousand people, with the number infected far below those infected with the flu. As of yet, there is no cure for Ebola. The mortality is between 60-90%.

The overwhelming majority which become ill with the flu get better and live. The opposite happens with those who are infected with Ebola. You get Ebola, you die. Unless it's caught very early and you have connections to get you to Atlanta or Nebraska within a day or two.

But there are treatments available for Ebola as only one guy died from Ebola here in the States and his was not caught by the hospital in Houston when he first went there.

I think the comparison can be made because the flu is more contagious than Ebola and like you said, thousands die every year from the flu.

In other words, death is more common from the flu than it is from Ebola.

flu can only attack those with low immunity, which is why elderberry syrup and garlic work; they are immuno-boosters. High immunity = no flu. Ever.

Yes, but how many in the US have caught Ebola. Zero. How many have come to the US with Ebola and of that, how many died.

Two missionaries, one African, two other healthcare workers. Of those 5, one died.

Still think it's comparable to catching the flu?

Thousands may not die each year from Ebola, but how many GET Ebola each year?

Look at the raw numbers. Ebola has a much higher death rate. It may not be a common, yearly occurrence like the flu, but when it hits, the overwhelming majority die.

Not so with the flu.

No, it tastes pretty good actually. It is purple in color, and can easily be mixed with some hot water or a cup of hot tea if you might like that better It is actually quite sweet and fruity tasting with a hint of spice.

the bodies natural immune system takes care of the flu in most cases. The Flu exists everywhere, not just in America.

To say there is no cure is absurd. If that were true there would be a LOT more than 15 dead

BTW there IS a cure for the Flu, besides the bodies immune system, there is tamiflu

BTW..NO Death is NOT more common from the flu. Fly to Africa and see how many died from Ebola

Just answer this, would you rather contract Ebola or the Flu?

BTW nobody puts on a full HAZMAT style suit to take care of patients with the flu...figure it out
