There is a rush that is found in combat that is not found in other vocations.

However, there are side effects that one must deal with once the rush is gone and you're left with memories, good and bad.

It's noted? Where in the Bible is it noted that Cornelius wasn't asked to leave his profession behind? You claim this only because the Bible is silent and nothing is written. It's not noted anywhere.

Drugs and alcohol give a rush. Illicit sex gives a rush. Murder gives a rush. Many legal and illegal things give a rush. Doesn't mean a Christian should be involved in doing them.

Where does the Bible teach being a soldier is wrong?

If it had been necessary for his salvation or for his continued walk with Christ, it would have been clearly addressed.

My "it is noted" remark is an allusion to my own personal mental note made many years ago.

It doesn't.

Where in the Bible does it teach that a person must speak in tongues as proof of their salvation?

It doesn't.

But I am mixing apples and oranges during this discussion of circular logic.

Why do you think it is wrong for a Christian to serve in the military?

Do you think there is a difference between killing and murder?

Homosexuals say about the same thing. "Since neither Jesus nor the Apostles said anything against it specifically, it must be okay."

Hogwash. Silence isn't consent.

Paul clearly wrote that our warfare isn't carnal, neither are our weapons. ie: a Christian's war is not of the flesh, it's a spiritual warfare.

John 3:8

Get over it.
