Re: Replacement Theology Man Highlights

The literalist reads and believes this....

22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb(Jesus).

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Piece of cake, few sign/symbols needed here.

Now the metaphorist(preterist) says.....

22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the CHURCH, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the CHURCH were for the healing of the nations.

A clear change of the meaning here.

6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

That is Jesus!

These are signs that show us how he died for us!

I get that!

Dont you?

Throat gashed open huh?(just cant resist mocking the verse)
Bowas, did you see what this guy just said about the verse?
Now do you see how preterists approach a verse that they are about to change? (By criticizing/ridiculing it first, to justify themselves as they are about to change the meaning into something else.)

I guess I take this more seriously than you, my friend.......
Ok. here is an example of why I have a difficult time trying to see how you interpret it.

You said, "...to believe the words "as literal as possible..."

That is where it can become subjective.
What you may take as literal as possible, may be more or it may be less than what I or someone else can take "as literal as possible."

Way too possible to be open to private interpretation, than just to say, "as literal as possible."

What may be possible with one person may not be possible with another.
Seems one would have a clearer more defined method than just leaving it up to each individual to determine what is "as literal as possible" may mean.

It really sounds more like ones power of imagination. "...as possible."

No just the opposite bro.

Try to FIGHT OFF the imagination as you read the Book of Revelation.

Just believe in the TREE OF LIFE and accept it....STOP DREAMING!

When you were a young Christian, you believed it is a tree.

But when you "matured", you stopped believing it is a tree.

You did not really mature, but your brain became an imagination station.

Were un-happy people yes we are....
Jesus came 2 milleniums ago...
Nothing's changed so I dont know(what to tell you)...
Were un-happy people yes we are...

Okay now, lets turn todays lesson over to "REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY MAN"..

Lets give him a warm welcome(because its warm where he's going)

RT man.....Good morning class...Folks are you tired of Israel getting all the prophetical attention in the O.T.?
Tired of hearing about Gods' promise to them to be restored in the end times?
Tired of hearing about how God made promises to the Fathers and intends to keep them?
Just plain tired of hearing Israel this and Israel that?

Well, you dont have to put up with that junk any longer!
Just join me in METAPHORIZING these passages away!

Just like this!....

Jeremiah 23 King James Version (KJV)

23 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the Lord.

2 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of DELETE(the church) against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord.

3 And I will gather the remnant of my DELETE(the church) out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

4 And I will set up shepherds over DELETE(the church) which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the Lord.

5 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto DELETE(the church) a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

6 In his days DELETE(the church) shall be saved, and DELETE(the church) shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness.

7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that they shall no more say, The Lord liveth, which brought up the children of DELETE(the church) out of the land of Egypt;

8 But, The Lord liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of DELETE(the church) out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

Yes sir, we just got rid of Israel and its promise to be restored didn't we? Wasn't that easy?
Now class, this is how it's done!
Have fun class, the sky is the limit, when you metaphorize the Word of God to make it what you want it to appear!!!

If you are worried about any negative consequences class, then just remember our new saying.."it's not a salvation issue"...

If you say this 5 times every day, you will convince yourself that if you are wrong, then God will give you a pass on the judgement day!

Again, have fun metaphorizing and we will see you tomorrow for more from yours truly...."REPLACEMENT THEOLOGY MAN!"

Smile, Bowas.

Ok. I am removing imagination and take things as literal as possible. "as possible" really means use ones imagination at least to some degree.

Why is this or is literal or symbolic and by which of your rules decides?

Rev 5:6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

Simply looks like a vision of the resurrected Jesus to me.

6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

Nothing to have an imagination attack about!

I think the Lord can appear in different forms as needed also.(He, as God, can do that)
