my meaning was that quoting Him seems to engender quite a stir all by itself, at least when it is suggested that one take Him seriously. The only reason i engaged with you is because you professed to be compelled to witness the gospel; questioning your understanding of the Golden Rule does not seem too out of line in that context.
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (Jesus Christ, John 14:6)
But let me ask, Who is Jesus? Most answer, "Jesus is God." And so, let me ask you - Might this very same "God" speak through other manifestations???
JESUS CHRIST:
"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?"
"Jesus said to him, You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your mind and with all your soul… and You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

"The sage has no interests of his own, but regards the interests of the people as his own. He is kind to the kind, he is also kind to the unkind: for virtue is kind."
(T'ai Shang Kan Ying P'ien)
NATIVE AMERICAN:
"Love your friend and never desert him. If you see him surrounded by the enemy do not run away; go to him, and if you cannot save him, be killed together and let your bones lie side by side."
(Sur-AR-Ale-Shar, The Lessons of the Lone Chief)
"Do not kill or injure your neighbor, for it is not him that you injure, you injure yourself. But do good to him, therefore add to his days of happiness as you add to your own. Do not wrong or hate your neighbor, for it is not him that you wrong, you wrong yourself. But love him, for The Great Spirit (Moneto) loves him also as he loves you."

CHRISTIANITY:
"All things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them."
(Matthew 7:12)
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
(Luke 6:31)
Oneness.
Might the revelation of divine truth have come to us through various human filters such as various languages, cultures, traditions, and levels of understanding? Might divine truth be found in every religion, along with culturally significant human traditions and biases? Might all religions present a broad path filled with "religion", but the narrow path be that which sees and follows the divine reality behind them all? Might God be... the Light? The Light into which we are called at death that we might once more return to our Source? A divine reality beyond all human religion and tradition? Might the One who is Jesus be speaking through every divine manifestation to mankind as a whole? And so, might any religion making exclusive claims be a faith that has degenerated into being its very own form of "idolatry"?
And so, if this is true, have not all heard the glorious proclamation of the One who is the All?
Antipas, if the religions teach Christ crucified for sins, wonderful. Those other issues don't save though. But I believe there are many good things they teach. But without shedding of blood is no remission of sins.

If the one in Christ is also the one in Buddha, did he not shed blood for the world's sin?
If the one in Christ is also the one in Buddha, did he not shed blood for the world's sin?
They are not the same one in Buddha as in Christ simply because they spoke similar words.
John 10: 7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Quoting similar words as Jesus does not make one of God. Satan quoted the word.
It's what actually saves that determines a true prophet of God

Millions, probably BILLIONS, of people, have never even heard about the gospel, much less the details of it.
What happens to them on Judgment Day, and why?
I am interested in hearing what the AFF community believes about this. Please explain why you believe what you believe on this subject.
Romans chapter 2 gives us some direction.
