"You shall not raise a false witness against your brethren." GOD

You are saying that me or BM will defend cussing without any evidence, why raise a false accusation against your brethren?

You are sure?
Have MB or myself ever defended cussing?

Cracker barrel you're of your rocker claiming you feel we'd defend cussing. Wow. You showed your colors there.

When we attack personally like you just did, it's because we feel personally demeaned. That means we've taken a teaching and used it to exalt ourselves over others. When we use a teaching to exalt self, then self feels attacked when that teaching is attacked. And when self is attacked we defend self by attacking persons and not beliefs. This shows you were using that teaching to feel superior to others who disagree. Otherwise you would not feel personally threatened enough to make you attack our persons. This betrays the "holier than thou" spirit. Sadly that is typical with this issue. Few believe it without self exaltation.

Adorning,
The proper understanding of types and shadows from old to new testament. Are as follows..

The bride, and her family, in Old Testament times wuz to be given 'gifts' of Jewels and other precious things, from da espoused husband, as a type of down payment dowry.

Genesis 24:51-53
Behold, Rebekah is before thee, take her, and go, and let her be thy master's son's wife, as the Lord hath spoken. And it came to pass, that, when Abraham's servant heard their words, he worshipped the Lord, bowing himself to the earth.

And the servant brought forth (jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment), and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to (her mother) precious things.

24:61-
And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way. And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country. And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he ( lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming ).

And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel. For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself. And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done. And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife;

When Isaac saw the camels with the gifts on it he knew it was his bride

The same way the church has been adorned and given gifts of spiritual jewels and precious things.

1Peter 3:3
Whose adorning ( LET IT NOT BE ) that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel..

3:4,5
But ( LET IT BE ) the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. ( For after this manner in the old time the HOLY women also, who trusted in God, ADORNED themselves ), being in subjection unto their own husbands...

Revelation 21:2-4
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, ( PREPARED AS A BRIDE ADORNED FOR HER HUSBAND ). And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

So how could natural adornments be sinful to wear if they portray a godly thing?

Re: You not preaching holiness till you've named i

The true body of Christ will be adorned with the precious things that God requires. Adorning your body with jewels was never Gods perfect will. The Temple in the Old Testament was to be adorned with jewels and precious things.
Luke 21:5
And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts. ( This is a type and shadow of what God was going to do for his church. )

But our body is not to have these things of outward adorning, it should be da gifts of the spirit and da fruit of the spirit.

1 Peter 3:4
....the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is ( IN THE SIGHT )of God of great price.....

Luke 12:33-36
Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning; And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the ( WEDDING ); that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately

Re: You not preaching holiness till you've named i

The new testament is trying to say let not outward adorning, though innocent and not wrong, not be the main or principal thing in a woman's heart. He's not saying do not wear these things. He's saying do not just focus on that.

Just like polygamy was practiced. Today you could not be saved, outside of complete repentance. Things that were permissible then. We're not Gods perfect will. But he allowed them to happen to give us an example. Thus the son of the bond woman and the son of the free..
A type and shadow of why we are to be grafted into the true son and not to the son of perdition.
Because this was practiced then, shall we allow it now even though the word according to the New Testament directly teaches otherwise?
Nay I say!?!?
