Well I guess I don't consider our part of California part of the US either.

We would have been in West Jefferson had 1941 not brought us in the war!

Hey, I am a native of that there Klamath County on that map your link shows. Then my dear sweet wonderful husband stole me out of the REAL Oregon to this freaky land of hippies, freaks, tree huggers, and dependents upon the system (also referred to as the Willamette Valley, Portland metro area, Salem metro area, and Eugene/Springfield)

Well gang, I went and did it. Just got off the phone with the admissions fella from University of Phoenix and I signed up. I have until the 25th of this month to change my mind, if the Lord hits me with some revelation or something, but otherwise I am starting classes this month, the week of my 40th birthday. I chose the IT degree, but I can change that also, should a revelation come my way. I can not believe after all these years of regretting not going to college I am actually signed up. Doing it from home should fit right in with this working from home gig I have now, even though I am going to have to start back up working for this one company I didn't really want to work for in the first place (it's answering the phones for all those infomercials you see on tv, YUK). At least now it will be a means to an end instead of a road that leads nowhere. My wife is all excited cause she knows this means I will finally be able to get her that Buick once I graduate and start making better money.

Congratulations, bro, that is AWESOME!

Again, my offer of my husband's experience stands, and he did the same thing you have talked about: signed up for IT, but changed to business. He has changed his mind on his second major a couple of times, but has now settled on business and marketing.

May the Lord bless you with good teams to work with (my husband has been on the other side of the not-so-motivated group).

Thanks. I will PM you my email addy and he can share his experience with me. I just remember what the glut of MBAs was like in the late 80s and early 90s. My goal is to find a smaller company needing someone to handle their networking issues, program writing, etc.

Well that reason alone is enough for you to move SOUTH!
Just pray the Lord be glorified through it all my brother.
If must be that he has something better instore for you.
Don't be down. The Lord is on your side.He loves you big brother.
You just need revival. You need someone to come along side you
and lift you up.Hang in there. We all feel like throwing in the towel
at some point or another.Just get down and be real with God.
He knows you better than I do.You have a purpose in his
kingdom.
