When the budget permits, part time youth pastor or part time seniors pastor.

The problem I see is when people think that all ladies don't work outside the home and should be available to clean, bake cakes, cook for church dinners, etc., when in fact most of us have jobs. The fact that we are working adds more money to the collection plate.

Re: Biblical church organization
Agreed. Elderly women doing janitor work creates unnecessary risk of accident. Paying a person to clean means there will be consistency in terms of quality. We had a check list for actual duties. This cleared up the expectations, often previously unexpressed, of what the janitor should do.
If the church building is rented for an occasion, such as a private reception or wedding, payment for the extra janitor work was included in the contract.
For fellowship meals, not enough food would come in to feed everyone. So we would decide after church began, if we would need to make a run to the market to order ham slices and buns to augment the food supply. This worked out quite well. Sometimes we would also order potato salad.
I never asked my wife to cook for a church meal. I always brought food from the market.

I forgot something very important:

I attended a great church here and became friends with a man who is the armor bearer there. He concealed carried using a shoulder holster with, IIRC, a .45. He would stand the entire sermon just off to the side of the platform and would walk around with the Pastor wherever he went while at the church, carrying the Pastor's bible and ipad.

Well, if ladies were in their proper role, they'd be available to cook and clean at the church!
I'M KIDDING!

Women belong in the home. God don't need your money.

Are you serious? That's ridiculous. The pastor does not need a body guard. He needs someone to fetch a glass of worter.

Re: Biblical church organization
My husband is disabled since he broke his neck. He moves around with great difficulty and works from home teaching college online to online students. He is an Electrical Engineer by trade, but has a PhD in International Business which allows him to teach College level classes. The main reason I work is because of health insurance. Not only does my husband have issues walking, but he is a heart patient and our doctor bills and meds are expensive.
I wonder if all women who work outside the home left the church and took their paychecks with them if their absence would be felt. To be honest, I make more than most of the men in our church.
I understand that I am not the epitome of the ideal woman and maybe I should not even post here or sully the forum with my female presence.
I wonder if you extend the disdain that you feel for me for the women who work in your church family, no you likely hide it.
