Re: Hurricane Irma

Wait!!!

No leaving now, means no way of leaving now.

I'm stuck. I spent the entire day trying to get everyone out of Fort Lauderdale. Helping those who could not leave. Worked on everyone's generator and never got to getting mine going. Just stowed my tools in a semi safe place. My library I couldn't move. Rare books which will never be able to be replaced. The LORD gives and the LORD takes away, blessed is the Name of the LORD.

it is the most deadliest storm in history to hit the United States. I had to convince people to leave. Now I'm stuck, no leaving now. My wife went down to Miami to help some church family. She said the whole city is like a ghost town.

Re: Hurricane Irma

Right now, it is just hunker down and pray.

Eating my last cooked meal before they shut down power before storm cones.
I have homeless friends who refused to go to shelters. I told them about the parking garages to stay in the stairwells. I made the last attempt to get an older brother to leave his home and come with us up north. He told me he won't go up north. He said he wants to be bury in the south. So many people can't leave now. So many homeless won't go to the shelters. I have young people who live across the street and they were nailing up lattice over the window. I ran out of plywood, I had nothing to give them. I'm going to try to find corrugated panels tomorrow if I can get around. One Spanish family were putting duck tape on their windows. I'm worn out, I've been hard at it since 5 this morning.

Re: Hurricane Irma

Put your books in plastic bags in the dishwasher... That might save them.

No nuclear. They are supposedly going to shut it down to stop electrical fires. I was cutting tree limbs today. But didn't get to cut mine. how high above sea level is fort lauderdale? Right now I don't know.
