If you want to discuss let’s go to the depression thread.

Where does the Bible call depression a spirit?
Personally, I wouldn't recommend or take any psychotropic drugs as I believe they do more harm than good. There are medications which aren't psychotropic and some natural remedies which people use as well.
We won't agree regarding this dear sister. Too many assumptions are being made, mostly because she was not clear on what she did or the help she sought. We don't know what kind of counseling she received. You assume therapy and some secular psychology, but there are Apostolic counselors who offer Biblical counsel in this area.
While I wish she would have been more detailed about the help people should seek, I'm not going to just assume the worst and smear her for it.
Anyone experiencing depression and anxiety, very real issues, should pray and should also seek Godly counsel.

If you want to discuss this more take it to the depression thread. I’ll show you depression is called a spirit and why I believe healing is depending on the one asking.

Re: Bott 2020
Totally aside from anything said or not said at BOTT or the back and forth of this thread (which I have not kept up with)....it really doesn't make sense to me that a Holy Ghost filled child of God would go to a worldly person, educated by a godless system, to pour their heart out and get help for emotional instability. When I think of a saint of God sitting in front of a counselor that does not know God, have the Spirit of God or believe the truth, and telling them their failings, insecurities, sins and struggles, I am baffled. What about confessing your faults one to another (in the church)? The world really doesn't have much to offer the church in terms of mental health...imo.

Re: Bott 2020
II Peter 1:2-3 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.
Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.
If we can't find grace, peace, glory, virtue and completion by going directly to Him alone, surely we can find it in HIM through the help of the body! Is it really necessary to reach outside of the church for these things?

We don't know what type of counseling she went to. There are licensed Apostolic counselors who work in this field.
Don't be Nicodemus and assume without knowing any more about it.

Do you visit a medical doctor? Have you used an Urgent Care or ER? If so, why? Is it really necessary to reach outside of the church for these things when the Bible clearly states that "They shall lay hands on the sick and they SHALL recover?"

Matthew 9:12-13
But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. [13] But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Brother you and I both know there is a difference between going to the doctor for a broken bone, and going for depression and/or anxiety issues.

Forgive me. This is not directed at the sister. I am just making a general statement. Like I said, I have not kept up with the conversation in this thread. I also didn't listen to the forum. I am assuming nothing about this sister.

Apostolic “counselor” wouldn’t prescribe medication for depression and/or anxiety.

It should have been clarified then or else what are we supposed to think.
