Do your homework and you will see most of the time the Jude is the one that gives the sentence not the jury. God is the one that came up with this idea not me.

To really support the death penalty, you have to have pretty high faith in our judicial system.

You can oppose it for the fact of not believing in the judicial system but I don’t believe you can oppose it with the word of God. Even Jesus never condemned it in his earthly ministry and would have plenty of chances to do so.
